30th Annual Winter Hike - February 6, 10:00 am

Enjoy the best hiking day and the best bean soup, with the hardiest hikers in Ohio.  Hikes include a 10k, 5k and interpretive lead hike. Meet at the nature center in the campground. Bean soup is provided by the non-profit Friends of Findley State Park, Inc. and donations are appreciated. Call 440-647-5749 for more information.

Owl Walk - February 20, 6:30 pm

Come learn about the owls that inhabit Findley State Park and the area.  Live demonstration by Lorain County Metro Parks naturalist Mary Ewers.  Lead hike to call in Barred Owls by Roger Nikiforow.  Participants should dress for outdoor winter weather.

Wings & Things Fundraiser - March 6th

Come join The Friends of Findley State Park for an evening of food, beverage, and a chance to win some great prizes and cash.  A 50/50 raffle and other side board events will fill the evening.

Where: Scoundrel's Bar and Grill - 826 Front St., Berea (Rt. 237 & Front St.)

Time: 7:00 - 10:00 p.m.

Tickets: $20 each. Includes All You Can Eat wings, pizza, pasta, salad, draft beer, wine and well drinks.

Easter Egg Hunt - April 3, 11:00 am

Children 10 and under are invited to hunt for fun filled eggs at the Campground Area. A special section will be provided for children under 3 years old. There may even be a special visit from the Easter Bunny! Free to the public.

Trash to Treasure Weekend - June 18-20

Campers are permitted to hold a yard sale at their registered campsite. Sale starts at 3 p.m. Friday until 1 p.m. on Sunday. Fee to participate. Contact park for complete rules. (440)647-5749.

Youth Anglers Fishing Derby - June 19, 10 am – 12:00 pm

The lake will be stocked with hundreds of catfish for youngsters to catch for fun and prizes, and sharpen fishing skills. Old pros will be on hand for tips on bait, tackle and identification. Meet at the Picnic Point Shelter. Free to the public. Regular camping fees apply.

Cruise-In to Summer - June 27, 9:00 am - 4:00 pm

Join the Friends of Findley State Park, Inc. for their 5th Annual Car Show and Cruise-In.  Registration is from 9:00 am - Noon. Music, Food, Dash Plaques, Prizes, and much more.  Registration Forms are available in Cruisin' Times Magazine, and at the Park Office.  For a printable form CLICK HERE.  Regular Camping fees apply.

Dog Gone Campout - August 6 & 7

If your family camps with a four-legged friend, this is the weekend to do it. Games, crafts and demonstrations geared to dogs. Help the homeless pets of Lorain County!  Bring a bag of pet food and you will be entered to win prizes. This should be a pawsitively good time. Regular camping fees apply. Just a few of the highlights for this weekend include movies, a costume pet parade, family games, trick or treating, and the best hayrides and pot luck soup. Venison Chili Cook Off - October 30, 1:00 pm

Calling all cooks! Participants must pre-register at the park for this event by September 30. Findley provides the venison to contestants on Friday before the event. Contestants must return their entries for judging by 1:00 pm on Saturday at the nature center.  Regular camping fees apply. Call either 440-647-4490 or 440-647-5749 to register.
