CURRENT PROJECT

Our group has been working on this project for the last 4 years, and we are finally able to begin work on it.  Materials have been ordered, and plans and blueprints are completed.  Groundbreaking will hopefully happen this Spring, with completion by the end of the summer.  This shelter is going to be in the Campground behind the Nature Center and will offer a large covered area for picnics, craft projects, showers, birthday parties, even movies on a rainy night!  We still need to raise a lot more in order to complete the shelter with an enclosed end for storage and kitchenette.  Please help by supporting our fundraisers.  Proceeds from the Cruise-Ins have always been dedicated to this project.  This year we have added two more fundraisers dedicated to the Shelter Project.  Our "Wings & Things" fundraiser in on March 6.  See the events page for more details.  We are also selling custom engraved bricks to pave a walkway to the shelter.  You can have your name or the name of a loved one engraved on a brick that will be a permanent memorial of the generosity of our supporters.
