Annual Buckeye Trail Winter Hike - February 3rd - 10 a.m.
Meet at the Campground Pavilion
Join the Buckeye Trail Association and Findley State Park staff to experience the beauty of winter through Findley’s woodlands and around the lake. Hikes includes a 5k, 10k and interpretive lead hikes. Donations accepted for cornbread and bean soup after hikes. Meet at the Nature Center in the Campground and dress for the weather. Black River Game Club Youth Fishing Derby - June 1st
Meet at the Picnic Point Shelter House
The lake will be stocked with hundreds of catfish for children ages 3 - 15 to catch for fun and prizes, and sharpen fishing skills. Meet at the Picnic Point Shelter, lunch will be served at noon. Contact park for complete rules, (440) 647-5749

Fourth of July Root Beer Float Social - July 6th

Enjoy summertime with a delicious old fashion root beer float. The Friends of Findley State Park sponsor this event annually as a fund raiser.
All proceeds benefit the park directly. The Friends Group is collecting donations for a playground remodel.
Forest Frolic Trail Race & Hike July 13th
Enjoy the fantastic beauty of Findley State Park on this trail race/hike! Experience our forests' glory in July on this curvy course around Findley Lake, including streams (bridge crossing), scenic views, and some short steep inclines and declines. The race will begin and end near our beach area parking lot. This trail race and hike is a fundraiser that will help The Friends of Findley State Park promote and make improvements, educate children and the general public on the importance of the preservation and conservation of our natural resources, and enhance the park facilities, natural habitat, and educational program.

9th Annual - Tastings In The Woods - September 14th, 2:00-7:00 pm
Meet at the Campground Pavilion
The Friends of Findley State Park, Inc. will be hosting their 8th annual "Tastings in the Woods". A wine tasting fund raiser event featuring local Ohio wineries at the campground pavilion from 2:00 to 7:00 pm. Admission fee of only $20 includes a souvenir wine glass, 5 tickets for a 2 oz. tasting, and a ticket for an entry into a chance to win a wine basket valued at over $100. There will also be additional raffle items. Additional tickets for tasting may be purchased and sealed bottles may be purchased to enjoy off premise.

Venison Chili Cook Off - October 26th, 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Meet at the Campground Pavilion
Calling all cooks! Participants must pre-register at the park for this event between September 1st and October 21st. Findley provides the venison to contestants on the Friday before the event. Contestants must return their entries for judging by 1:00 pm on Saturday at the Campground Pavilion. Contact park (440) 647-5749
